colonist camp cabin
A Piece of History
In 1935, residents from Wisconsin, Michigan, and Minnesota relocated to Palmer, AK as a part of FDR's New Deal. There is rich history surrounding these colonists and the people that lived here at that time. In the Colonist Camp cabin you will see some authentic, 1938 magazine articles and other trinkets, found right here on the property, as well as other authentic pieces from the life of the colonists and the surrounding area.
